Psoriasis affects people of all skin tones. However, it can appear slightly different depending on your original skin color. Here are some pictures of psoriasis in African Americans.
You can see the raised circular patches on this man’s face.
This one has the more typical silvery patches of an advanced case.
Those of African descent are less likely to get psoriasis. However, it does still happen. Treatment is the same regardless of skin color, with slight adjustments for skin tone in photochemotherapy (PUVA), and phototherapy.
